Inspired by unseen beauty, Shan’s glass installation reinvents the hidden world of the undergrowth in a cluster of twisted and distorted branches.
Woody stems with prickles and spines characterize the Rubus family of plant. More commonly revered for the beauty of its rose flower, or disliked for its hostile brambles, Shan takes a fresh look at these qualities and reinvents them in a delicate glass installation.
