This month I will be involved with a pop up exhibition with Flow Gallery. This is a new type of show, to be held within a collectors house, Preston Fitzgerald.

The show explores the different ways current artists use traditional, historical objects as points of reference.

Artist include: Amy Jayne Hughes, Caren Hartley, Jessica Joslin, Astrid Keller, Wiebke Maurer, Hylten Nel, Paul Scott, Caroline Slotte, Lisa Stockham and Shan Annabelle Valla.

Cavalierofinn featured in Heart Home magazine

Earlier last month we had some of our products featured in a styled shoot at Cavalierofinn’s house, and they got some truly lovely shots.

The piece was for the Heart Home Magazine. The brilliant images are by photographer Jon Day , and the interiors stylist was Pippa Jameson.

I’m excited to be exhibiting at Origin, The Contemporary Craft Fair, which will return to Old Spitalfields Market, London from the 22nd-28th September

I will be showing a collection of my glass and porcelain interior accessories, including new shapes of the adorable MiniVase collection, and the exquisite, hand blown glass BudVase.

Origin opens this Thursday 22nd September, and runs for one week, closing on the 28th September.

Matthew Darbyshires installation in British Art Show 7: In the Days of the Comet is featuring Shan’s finches in the Hayward Touring exhibition.

The British Art Show is widely recognised as the most ambitious and influential exhibition of contemporary British art. Organised by Hayward Touring, it takes place every five years and tours to four different cities across the UK.

Selfridges Project Ocean

Shan was recently commissioned by Selfridges to create some products for their Project Ocean - a 5 week campaign to raise awearness about the over fishing of the seas.

Shan made 400 porcelain fish. Each fish was hand-made and hand-decorated making them all a little bit different…a bit like the real fish in the sea.
