Playfully beautiful objects that bring something precious to the everyday, Shan’s distinctive aesthetic style runs through her collection of functional and decorative glass and porcelain that juxtapose pattern, surface, colour and texture with the new and the nostalgic.
Shan graduated from the prestigious Royal College of Art in 2009 and now works from her studio in central London. Shan makes beautiful objects and bespoke installations for private clients, museum collections, shops and galleries.
In 2005 she was awarded ‘New Designer of Year’ at the Business Design Centre’s New Designers exhibition, the ‘Charlotte Frasier Award’ 2008, the ‘Matthews Wrightson Charitable Trust Award’ 2009, and most recently received a commendation for the Grier Business Award 2010.
Shan has received extensive international design press and broadsheet coverage, including The Financial Times, The Independent weekend supplements, Elle Decoration, Living etc, Vogue, and many more.
